In the 1950's, we became an early leader in the application of foam-backed fabrics. This business is still active today through our subsidiary Fabricushion, located in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Fabricushion's principal products include branded and private label shoe foams and insoles, rubber carpet cushion for both commercial and residential applications and laminate acoustical underlayment.

Fabricushion also provides other services such as perforating, die cutting, laminating, screen printing and packaging and also has full product design, research and development facilities.

In the 1970's, we had a strong relationship with Engineered Yarns of Rhode Island -- Canada suppliers of coated nylon yarns for pulp and paper filtration fabrics. This led us to the formation of Engineered Yarns Canada and the development of adhesive coated fibreglass yarns used as reinforcements for wire and cable applications.
